B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is one of Ukraine’s leading research institutes in condensed matter physics, low-temperature physics, nanomaterials, and advanced functional materials. Founded in 1960 and internationally recognized for its long-standing scientific traditions, the Institute combines fundamental research with advanced experimental capabilities across a wide range of modern physical sciences.

The Institute has internationally recognized expertise in quantum materials, superconductivity, cryogenic physics, nanostructured carbon materials, semiconductor physics, electronic and magnetic phenomena, spectroscopy, and advanced materials characterization. Its research teams operate sophisticated experimental infrastructure for low-temperature measurements, structural and electronic characterization, surface analysis, and materials engineering.

Over decades of scientific activity, the Institute has established strong international collaborations and contributed to numerous high-impact publications, international projects, and scientific conferences. Today, ILTPE continues to support both fundamental and applied research while actively engaging with international academic and industrial partners.
